Short Mat Bowls
Stewkley Short Mat Bowls Club
The Bowls Club is held in the Village Hall and is open to all from the age of twelve years of age.
The membership is £10 per annum.
The Club holds roll-ups on Tuesday afternoon from 2 until 4 o'clock and also Thursday evenings from 7.30 until 9.30.
All equipment is provided and all that is necessary is a pair of flat soled shoes or slippers.
The cost for the evening is £1.00.
New comers are always welcome and can try the sport for three evenings for free before joining the club.
Members are available to offer training and advice.
The Club also plays in two leagues during the Winter months -
The Aylesbury Vale Short Mat Bowls Friendly League and The John Robinson Memorial Shield.
This entails one home or away match once per week from September until March.
This is purely voluntary and no pressure is made to play in competitive matches.
Several social events are also held during the year.
