This topic should try to explain the orient step of OODA        as described on the     John Boyd     page.
Orientation in the sense of position:
on the diode production line it meant the importance of being able to identify the cathode end of a device being manufactured
Orientation in a space navigation sense
Astronaut Chris Hadleigh explains in his book the importance of Attitude
          - knowing the physical parameters of his spacecraft in flight
Orientation      as an outcome from an orient step or process        OODA´s second O        [largely an audio track, more "warrior" than "philosopher"]
           also talks of a "rehearsal" aspect applied the ACT step - which may explain why we should LOOP (repeat) the process.
