An old saying "Stewkley, Bucks - all chickens and no ducks." recalls a time when Ducks were reared in the villages

of the Vale of Aylesbury. Today, Stewkley still relies on it's agricultural foundation together with a mix of small scale

industry and some families with breadwinners that commute to London, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury.

The village enjoys a strong community spirit, with a higher than average number of active clubs and organisations.
