What sort of green are we talking about ?
Over a long period of time our village of Stewkley was built along a ridge, with smaller settlements eventually joining together to form one of the longest villages in England.
We lack a traditional central green space enclosed by prominent buildings, but we are proud that we are villagers who want to engage in many issues and activities.
StewkleyGreen is also the name given to one such group that is interested in the care for our village environment, these particular Buckinghamshire villagers support the aim of enabling their village to become Carbon Neutral. "The members of the Group are in Stewkley Green "

The people are real, the place is virtual. "Everything on our website is on Stewkley Green. "
STOP the Edgcott Incinerator :
AVDC leader John Cartwright has called in Bucks County Council¸s (BCC) Cabinet controversial decision to approve Spanish-owned WRG Ltd permission to build an expected 300,000 ton mass burn waste incinerator (MBI) at Lower Greatmoor farm, Edgcott. As a result it was agreed that there is a substantial case to answer, however the cabinet rejected this on February 28th. WRG have now submitted a planning application. Our MP John Bercow urges all residents-including children- to write to Planning Development Control to explain their objections to the proposal before 8 April 2011.
