The Wildlife Reserve is owned by Stewkley Parish Council, who purchased it in 2008 with the help of grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Aylesbury Vale District Council.

It is being developed and managed by volunteers from the village who readily give their time, expertise and resources to the Reserve, to the benefit of the village as a whole and the wider natural community.
