Germander Speedwell -Veronica chamaedrys.

Height - 20cm
A plant with a small bright blue flower, found in hedgerows and in grassy areas.

Its name Speedwell indicates that it had uses in country medicine in past times, when it was used to heal wounds, and clear respritory problems.

Also known as Blue Speedwell, or Birds Eye, or 'break your Mother's heart'.
