Picture of Grass Vetchling

Grass Vetch - Lathyrus nissolia
Flowering time - May -June
Height - 30 - 90cm
One or two of this plant has been found on Old Churchfurlong, it is a small flower, not easy to spot, as the rest of the plant looks like grass, and it grows in grassy places. Look for the single bright flower.

It is a member of the pea family, but doesnt have any tendrils to enable it to climb.

Also called Crimson Shoe
