Greater Stitchwort
Picture of Stitchwort Plant

Greater Stichwort - Stellaria holostea
Time to see - April - June
Height - 15 - 60cm
A small white flower that can be seen in the reserve, from April to June.

It gets its name from an old remedy, that was supposed to cure stitch, or similar pains.

This is really a shade loving plant, better at home in hedgerows, but it can be found hiding amongst the grass of the reserve.
