Pond Planting
On a wet day in May 2010, an intrepid band turned out to plant a selection of water loving plants around the edge of the pond. The pond could have been left, as in time plants will generally arrive, but that process takes a long time and is a bit of a lottery, so it was decided to order suitable plants and plant them.
However the dry summer led to the water level in the pond going down by about a foot, leaving the plants high and dry, and requiring some watering to keep them going.
The pond filled up again when we had a wet period in the autumn.
